Biography

Joanne Savoie is a New Brunswick born artist who now lives in Ottawa, Canada.

Her ¨dreamy impressionistic¨ style allies fiction and reality, combining illusions and images which breathes life into her paintings. She is especially known for her acclaimed "Foot Guard" soldier series. In recent years, sacred art has occupied more and more of a large place in her art.

Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Paris, Barcelona, Brussels, New York, Ottawa and elsewhere. She has participated in many shows worldwide including the Carrousel du Louvre, the Toronto Art Expo, the Miami Art Show, the Salon des arts contemporains in Montreal, the Spoleto International Art Fair in Italy and the Affordable Art Fair in Los Angeles.

Joanne’s work has been sold in Canada, the United States, Europe and China. In Ottawa, the Lord Elgin Hotel, the Caisse populaire Trillium and the Government of Canada have also acquired her work.

She has her own Studio-Gallery in Ottawa where she displays her work which includes several paintings of the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. Art commission is also available.
